The A-D Test is a combination of orientation tests, based on the toxic effects of basic the autotrophic and heterotrophic processes in an aquatic ecosystem. The present work has as objective the interpretation of the oxygen production inhibition in Cloroficeas mixing cultures and the oxygen consumption in bacterium cultures, as a toxicity superficial water evaluation criterion. The inhibition values of oxygen production increase according to the concentration of water in the stream and the substance presence in suspension. In the Dissimilation Tests the values of CBO inhibition of the bacterium are about 10%, considered NOEL in the A-D Test. Then the conclusion suggests the necessity of an adaptation and improvement of the Dissimilation Test.
